@material_idx x The Crichton Project We continue to progress Stage 1 work on the Crichton Project which will involve the retrofit of the Merrick Building for @thecrichtontrust and the @scottishwomensinstitutes. A project we are delivering in collaboration with @whitearkitekter and Civic Engineers @civic_thrivingtogether. Civic Engineers have completed a structural assessment of the existing structural components whilst @material_idx have prepared a pre demolition audit to identify building materials and components which can be repurposed within the design proposal. The audit has identified 1810 tonnes of material present in the building which amounts to a total estimated embodied carbon value of 700 tonnes CO2e. We are now working to a target of retaining approximately 1092 tonnes of material on site and recycling over tonnes of material. @sosenterprise_
